Kallemeyns' Mission Update
The challenge of Christian leadership
Haiti and Burkina Faso are an ocean apart.
One is half an island in the Caribbean. The other, a landlocked country in Africa. Both are former French colonies.
Both have high rates of illiteracy and plenty of economic hardship and political turmoil.
In both countries Timothy Leadership Training Institute and Back to God Ministries collaborate in an innovative ministry called Proclaim-Train. Radio broadcast messages are coordinated with manuals studied in local church groups.
This past autumn, radio broadcasts and study groups focused on the challenge of Christian leadership in the home, church and society. It's a particularly relevant topic since both Haiti and Burkina Faso are in the throes of turbulent national elections.
Initial response is encouraging. Political candidates in Haiti have requested copies of the radio broadcasts. In Burkina Faso, local study groups come to better understand their Christian responsibility during this electoral period.
Pray for Kurt Selles, director of Back to God Ministries, and myself as we travel to Burkina Faso and Niger from December 9-17. We will explore open doors for expansion of this unique ministry in Muslim contexts.
I look forward to reporting back to you on this trip before the end of the year.
Warmest Christian greetings,
Harold and Elsbeth Kallemeyn
